The Dragonboat Festival is the fifth day of the fifth month. The Dragonboat Festival is almost the most important traditional Chinese holiday. The Dragonboat festival originates from the story of QuYuan. He was a high-ranking official. He tried to warn the king of Chuguo about Qinguo. But the king of Chuguo wouldn't listen to QuYuan. QuYuan was concerned about his country and his people so he jumped in the river and killed himself. Common people had respect for him and they wanted to make sacrifices to him. Today, common people eat "sticky rice balls" to symbolize QuYuan's sacrifice.
